I get very few of them, fortunately, but at one time I used to dream quite often about falling from a great height, and Id always wake up before I hit the ground!
Another thing which puzzles me is ... why is it that you can sometimes awake during a dream (which seemed very real at the time), but remember nothing about it? I think its because the brain sort of goes off at a tangent and theres no logical thread to it which you can interpret in a waking state.

I don't know if this is good or bad, but I can tell myself it is a dream and decide to wake up or sometimes, I let it carry on and try to control it. i.e if being chased or scared of something, I let it catch up with me or face whatever I am scared of, then I know its a dream.
Ocassionally this doesn't happen and I have woken up totally relieved that I was dreaming and sometimes the opposite if a happy dream.
I have had vivid dreams since about 18months old!
No wonder I am always shattered!!!!!!!!!! Some nights its like watching tv all night.
