extremely blessed in the run up to Christmas, when and what was it? Mine was the other morning standing in the bus shelter at 5.45, it was bitterly cold, but I was snug in my new padded jacket I bought for going to work. A lady I have come to know who gets the same bus, turned up in a thin fleece shivering. We got talking and she said her husband was getting her a new winter jacket for Christmas as her present! I considered my jacket a basic thing I needed!

lou lou ya dafty how u doin?
yes its me lol.
the best i felt was when i was home in scotland and in the shops with little leg e nd.
i took his mum with us and walked round the shop filling a trolley with different clothes for him.
unlike others around us who seemed stressed and rushing around there was no hassle.
just a matter of what was nice for him ande what was his size.
we left with a good trolly load of clothes and even tho hes only turned 5 he was well happy with his things.
and did he ask for loads of toys for xmas?
well i took him to see santa.
he sat on his kneee ( even tho some say its wrong .he was more than happy to )
and when santa asked what he wanted.
a red police car.
anything else santa said.
nope .
thats all.
hes perfect in every way , not greedy or selfish.
i just hope he grows up like that.
because if he does he will be a credit to both me and his mother.
and i just felt blesssed that he wasnt like the other brats i saw in the shops screaming for things whilst their parents argued and shouted at them.
merry xmas ???
u looked at folk in the shops ??
alll on a razors edghe to compete with each other at xmas.

My mum used to help her local church on christmas day by helping with the christmas dinner for elderly and people who had no where else to go or too poor etc and I always got dragged along.
I fceking hated every second of it and resented my mother for dragging me out to a load of smelly people who made christmas feel dull and depressing for me and I longed to be at home watching telly, eating rubbish and moaning about how rubbish and commercial christmas was.
It didn't occur to me until years later that the ability to be so blaze about christmas being commercial, fake rubbish comes very easy to those least affected by the sadness it can also bring.
A bit like money only not being important to those that have it.
