The result of a recent blood sugar test, after fasting for 12 hours was 4.9. It was only after puttung the phone down I realised I had no idea if that was normal. I presume it is or the docs would have had me in for another test. Is 4.9 ok?

I believe I'm right in saying that anything below about 6 is normal but I stand to be corrected.

yep, sounds pretty normal to me. anyone with diabetes strives to get their blood sugar to below 6.

Ive just asked my Fiance (who is diabetic) and he told me that anything below 7 is normal.
so 4.9 is fine.
