Are your oven shelves ,silver and shiney clean??( Are they made in silver, because of the heat thing or something?? ) I wish they were made in black.! they will be again after christmas dinner :-(

Mine are nice and shiney but only because I only use my oven to bake/cook and not for roasting so no fat or grease builds up.

My own are black but that's how they are made. I avoid them becoming soiled by putting whatever I'm baking on a large baking tray so if there are any spills the tray will catch it. Even the cake and bread pans I put on baking trays.

Yep Quoi,,, it's that cavernous space (sometimes found below cooker hobs, sometimes on the wall in a separate area - I've got two of them, greedy so and so - sometimes they even come as part of the cooker itself.....)

Now if you had queried the words *shiny clean*, I would have understood....

Well those answers have made me feel better I use baking trays too, but it still gets black so quickly. I shall practice what I preach and "don't sweat the small stuff" :-) Thanks all.

Hi Juggering - I thought I 'd start with an easy question first but it didnt work did it. The only cavernous space I have is between the ears & its not there.
