image editing with jasc psp 8

i got multiple items wfich where e-mailed to me in a single picture i need to separate them so how do i slice the picture with jasc paint sho pro 8

Use Macromedia Fireworks. Much better for web graphics.

If you have the toolbars visible (View > Toolbars > Tool Palette) then you need to click on the dotted rectangle (hover over it and it'll say "selection"). Using this drag the mouse around the edge of whatever you want to select, then either use the menu to "Edit" and "Copy" (or press Ctrl + C) and then "Edit" and "Paste as New Image" (Ctrl + V)

As above if the pictures are straight edged but if not use the "lasoo" (looks like a rope in a lasoo shape) to get around curvy things .....
