My elderly parents are having trouble with their videoplus recorder. It keeps chopping off the end of programmes. Can anyone help ???

It's been a while since I used one but I always thought there was an option with the instructions on how to extend(add plus minures) after putting in the relevant programme code.
Get them to have a full read-up of the manual.
