A recently-bought garment has a care label which I haven't seen before.  It's the normal washing one, with 40 in it (ie wash at 40 degrees), but there's a broken line underneath.  Can anybody tell me what the broken line signifies?

On my washing machine:

40 with a _ _ broken line under, stands for:

Machine Washable Wool. (Meaning wash gently - treat as machine washable wool).
