Lamb hearts going free.
5 Answers
I fancied a little roast dinner before I drive to London, so decided on a few roast lambs hearts in mint and dripping.
The meat and spuds were nearly cooked but before I put the veg on, I dipped some bread in the lovely fat.
I then managed (near enough) to eat the whole loaf and am now not in the slightest hungry.
What a waste!!!!!
My questions.
1) Do you ever dip bread in to basting fat?
2) Do you like hearts?

Beryl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you like lamb, then may I suggest you roast some hearts up.
If you are bothered by appearance remove the vebtricles (aorta???) first. Fill with some mint leaves and a spash of quality white wine vinegar then roast in some dripping (either lamb or beef will do) for about 2 hours at medium temp.
Absolutely delicious.
