Hi ladies.
Had a nice quiet christmas red, dinner was late though because after all the pressie opening and things, I fell asleep on the sofa and was late starting it! lol Luckily no one minded.
With the PGP, I find if I have rested as much as possible during the day, its not so bad at night. If Ive had a busy day and aching already when I go to bed, I know Im in for a rough night. New Years eve, we went to my brothers house for a party and although I was mostly sitting down, because I wasnt able to put my feet up and rest properly, the next day I paid for it!
natalie, I have trouble staying awake during the day as i spend alot of the night awake so Im the opposite to you lol I have also been wondering about sleeping on my back because I find Im more comfortable there even though before, I have always slept on my sides. I think the main problem is the weight putting pressure on your arteries and intestines. During my last pregnancy, I had to sleep propped up, almost to the point of sitting up, but was laying back and was fine with that. It takes a little getting used to but maybe you could try that? Have a couple of pillows under your knees for support and get a v-shape pillow to support your neck as well. At the moment I sleep quite propped up but on my side with my bump supported with a maternity pillow. I also have two pillows between my legs for help with the PGP. If I can, I have my legs out in front of me as I find this the most comfortable way now. It just means theres no room for anyone else in my bed as I take all the space up lol With your lower back aching, when it does, try getting up and walking about for a few minutes. I cant sit here at my computer for as long as used to as it gives me back ache. Fortunately, I only use my computer for personal reasons and can walk away whenever I want.
