My latest discovery is Saltram Shiraz from Australia (south-east, if I remember correctly). Very good.
You could also try M&S Burra Brook Cabernet Sauvignon. Cheap and very good.
If you can find a good bottle of Fleurie, you will never want for a better Friday warming tipple. Not cheap, mind, but worth the investment. I'll subscribe to this question, so that you can let me know what you think of it. NGB.
If you like a fruity red wine, you'll LOVE Walker's Pass... its about 5 - 6 a bottle and I know you can get it from Oddbins, but can probably get it elsewhere as well. Sorry I can't tell you what grape, but full bottles don't hang around long in my house & all the empties have been recycled away!
You can't beat a bottle of the amerone valpollicella or for an unbeatable chocolate meets ribena velvety finish a good old bottle of barolo always hits the sweet spot!
OK all these suggestions have brought friday forward to tonight! I will be tasting the shiraz from austrailia! Will let you know what I think and will try another on friday! Em
Had a really fruity Kumala Pinotage the other night. Other than that, Rosemount Shiraz Cabernet or for a real change an Abercorn Chardonnay (yes, I know it's white, but it's scrummy).
