Following on from quoi - If you had a free day to yourself, how would you spend it?
I would start off at Waterstones, ideally with a few pounds to spend! and have a good browse! Visit the local art gallery and shop. Have a pub lunch/ drink. I like to shop so I would also visit a shop on Deansgate that specialises in kitchen stuff. Maybe go and see a film!
Hi skyep. if i had a day to spend doing what i wanted i would defo go book shopping, then a nice lunch then home for a long soak in the bath, then snuggle up in my jim-jams with a book.
I bought 4 today, now just wondering which one to start :))
well skyep,
as the nearest waterstones is about half an hours drive away, as is the nearest town, to where I live, I would find it hard pressed to do half the things you would do. i'd possibly curl up with a book, or jump in the car and drive for half an hour to find something interesting to do.
After a fry up eating what I want, I would go shopping and arrange to meet friends for lunch. Somewhere expensive.
Then I would go to the cinema to see the latest film, then go for a drink and one final meal, then home!
Stephen White - Blinded & missing Persons (it's 2 books in one) and After Dark by Philip Margolin. Got them both for 4.50 in a charith shop. Peter James - Not Dead Enough and In The Woods by Tana French. All look really good :))
Louisa -Local History/ history, autobiographies, cookery, phsychology. My son bought me Delia Smith's winter and summer collection for Christmas. I haven't heard of those authors you mention, are they thrillers/ crime? xxx
one of the best times in my life not a full day was sitting very still in the branch of a tree watching the wild life around me the animals did not know i was there and it was such a pleasure to watch them get on with there little lives with out a care in the world
