professional photo shoot

How much would a professional photo shoot cost, and then how much would the photos cost..? Sorry it's a bit vague, I would just like some idea. I have been offered the makeup and hair done for free but photos starting from 70. - is this reasonable?

A friend of mine had this offer made to her. She went along to the studio, and a great many photos were taken. The whole point is to try and persuade you to buy a few, but the pressure isn't too great. My friend had a beautiful one taken of her and her baby, which now hangs proudly on the wall. She only had the one pic, but it's a large one, and you wouldn't get that sort of professionalism from home snaps. I'd say go along and see what happens. Nobody forces you to buy.

That sounds very reasonable to me as a photographer.
Assuming your guy has a premises and staff, they need paying at a reasonable rate, and the premises has rates electricty insurance etc.
Go to a car main dealer and you are looking depending where you are situated at avbout 70 to 100 per hour labour.
So for 70 you get a makeover, photography and a print? Bargain I call it.
What is wanted though is for you to buy more and hopefully a large framed print as this is where the money is. You 70 jobby then is s loss leader.
