golden retriver

I've noticed my dog's black nose has been becoming pink on the end. he's only two and a half, and it's been going on for a couple of years, so it's not age. What could it be, and anyone else had the same?

That seems to happen to a lot of labradors or retriever types...and it's mostly due to digging & burying things. They tend to try to cover up stuff using their nose to do it. Also I've found that when they play, it's usually so enthusiastially that they scuff the end of their nose on the ground when they catch balls/fetch sticks etc.. & this causes the pinkness.
