Windows Media Player website problem

I have an 'Old Times' website with background music. When I upgraded Windows Media Player from version 9 to 11 it did not produce the sound so I had to uninstall and roll back to the previous version - which now works alright (for me!). I'm wondering whether others find the same problem with it and would be grateful for any comments or suggestions: http://www.skeef.freeserve.co.uk/oldtimes/ The website was prepared using Microsoft Publisher and I also find that Internet Explorer browser is necessary, as Firefox does not pick up the sound. Thanks for any help with this.

I use Firefox with WMP 11 and it plays the sound - the main problem being that every time I click a link, it restores WMP to the foreground.

I have to say, though, that I HATE sites that impose music on me when I haven't specifically selected something to be played - consequently, I would either not visit your site more than once, or, I would turn off my speakers.

Thanks - it's interesting to know that you use WMP11 and it plays the sound, but a bit odd about the links restoring WMP to the foreground. I do understand though how you feel about music that you haven't selected. Maybe I should have mentioned that the site was intended to provide singalongs with words and music for senior cits.
