downloading music from itunes

Having just acquired my laptop in the last 6 weeks I am gradually finding my way around it through trial and error.My next task is to put some Itunes onto a cd.I`ve seen "burn "in the bottom corner but having not done it before could anyone give me a step -by -step idiots guide to downloading onto disk.Apologies for being rather a Technophobe but I am learning a new skill which I originally avoided as I found it daunting...Many thanks.
