My baby is just over 6 months old and his 1st tooth is just appearing. He is having such a hard time teething as most babies do and i just dont know what else to try! I put bonjela on his gums, he has a teething ring and teething toys but he still sometimes just screams while his holding his gums. Is there anything i can give him to help break the gums so them teeth hurry up!
thanks,

my little one is 4 months and she has 2 through already try the teehing crystal or your finger
Ask your pharmacist if they have Aston and Parsons teething powders. I was extremely lucky in that my daughter didnt suffer much when she was teething. Most of her teeth would come through with very little pain and sometimes I would only know she had a new one because she would be grumpy for a day or two after! My 11 month old nephew though is having a terrible time teething and these powders seem to be the only thing that have any effect on him.
teething powders / crystals helped on the rare occasions my son was in pain when teething.

I also got a little toothbrush type wand that has rubber ends rather than bristles. This helped when rubbed on the sore area. http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp? productid=1071799&classificationid=1042457

I have also been told of some mums who give something like frozen banana for baby to chew on, but Id not give that to a child that young, perhaps a toddler with molars breaking though. Might be worth keeping in mind for when hes older

I hope your son pops the teeth through quickly

you could try anbesol this is a little stronger than teething gel or just give calpol. Have you tried getting proper liquid filled teething rings that are designed to be kept in the fridge?

You can buy these net things to give your baby fruit and the such in so they dont choke-i put chips on ice in mine and little un chomped away as the ice numbed his gums-he loved it!! does get wet and cold but bibs are the way out of that! He's doing the big teeth teething now and the ice is he only thing that works!

Put a clean slightly damp face cloth in a plastic bag in the freezer until it becomes stiff but not solid - a few hours depending on your freezer. Take it out the bag and let him chew on it - much better than a teething ring.
