That lightning bolt, spark of electricity whatever you want to call it when you meet someone who you know you are going to have a relationship with?
Do you still get it - married/partner or not?

If had faded somewhat after a few years but sometimes it would still happen. Even happened very powerfully once when we were on opposite sides of the Pacific Ocean. I guess to some extent it is neutralised by our regular company. If we were kept appart I am sure it would build up again.
We still get it sometimes after 20 years together but it is of a different quality.

How to you know you're going to have a relationship with anyone? Surely that takes something of a leap of faith?
With my most recent ex we just got talking randomly and I wasnt going to leave until I got his number. Which is unusual only in the sense that I talk to a lot of people when out and rarely have any desire to be in touch with them again. I suppose that might be the same thing as we're still very good friends now so maybe there is something to just knowing when someone will be an important part of your life. But it could be as friends as well as anything else maybe. I dunno... I don't believe in all that clap trap anyway.

I like the zing, tends to manifest in butterflies in my stomach and then I can hardly eat until I get used to it, so it must disappear or I'd be like Kate Moss.
There are different levels of zing and on occasions I have found them too much.
Tubsm have you hear that s1ut that won Strictly has got her talons into Sean Slater, I cannot for the life of me what he sees in her.

Oh honey behave yourself! If he looks like Dave don't be so damn silly.....
On a more serious note, well that just makes him late thirites if I remember correctly and men are much more preferable in to their late 30's and beyond as they've grown up a bit. Plus if you want to get sordid, there is something to be said for experience.
Besides, it's just a date, not settling down and doing the 2.4 thing! Get it in to perspective, it could be fun... And while we're on the subject my dads married to someone significantly younger than him and they do alright. Just go and give him a call and take it from there.

well, my partner (a girl -_-),, i met about 4 years ago in class... we used to make fun of each other was really funny only like joking around etc and i always thought she was the nicest girl ive ever met and i really thought she was pretty, but it never occured to me that she was SOO perfect for me haha, i guess it didnt occur to her either, about a year after that i started to fancy her NOT like mental but i did fancy her... and now after 4 years of knowing her, we have formed a relatioship thats really strong and funny and just really cool haha, and since we used to be quite good friends, and have common things that we like we get on really well now and have honesty.
and i guess i did feel that sensation of a "spark", but i just didnt take it as if that she would be my girlfriend.
i love her :D
