Why?!

I am fairly new to AnswerBank - I discovered it by accident. Ive only been on here a few months.
I often read all recent and past posts to see if I can answer questions or give advice in any way.
From a lot of the reply posts that I have read, I have never witnessed so many people being so childish, slagging others off, so much ignorance, bickering and rudeness in my life.
There have been and are many helpful people on here who have given great advice but there are so many that are just set out to upset and offend others on here.
Some replies have been in jest, but many more havent.
Sometimes I will read a post and think that I am in a teenage chatroom.
I loved this website when I found it.

No you are quite right.
About 5 years ago, I was sitting in a little office in Bedfordshire when a gust of wind blew open a door and blew a cup on to my computer terminal, thus switching it on.
Then by sheer accident a monkey escaped form Woburn Abbey and strayed in to the same office.
The primate then inadvertently typed away on the now switched on terminal and managed to log on to AB with a bone fide email, password and user name.
Unbeknown to me, I went home that evening and was attacked by a mad awe woman from Wales. Whilst she was beating me up I slipped on my own computer and by sheer accident, let alone coincidence, I managed to type in the very same AB details as the earlier monkey during my attempt at survival.
After the police had come round etc, I noticed that AB was still up and running so I posted a question under the monkey name of wardy.
Like you lueclue, I on stumbled on to AB by accident. It took no genuine attempt nor effort on my part at all.
We are but one.
Accident my arse. Now bu66er off.

I would probably have a bad effect on the rev!.
Agree with cetti as well, Until you get used to it you may find chatterbank a bit shocking/strange, safe bet is to visit some of the other topic areas to get a better impression of the site.
