Backing up PC

I need to backup my hubby's PC but can't find the option to do this anywhere. Have done as the help section said = All programmes, accessories, system tools, but the backup option isn't there. Can anyone help please?

Windows XP home or XP professional or Vista or something else?

I have windows XP Professional and DO have a Backup option where you say it should be.

This article seems to indicate that for Windows XP Home you need to install it first.

Sorry, should have said Windows XP Home,
