Cat licking my face!

Hi all! As some of you may know due to the sheer number of questions i asked at the time, I have a 5 month old kitten called Jessie (or Poopy, as I sometimes call her for some reason!) and she is absolutely adorable. My only "problem" with her is that she is possibly TOO affectionate! lol
When we are wtching tv at night, she lies on my lap but sometimes decides she wants a proper cuddle and starts head-butting me (cute!), rubbing her face in my neck and licking my face! That's the part I really don't like....We all know how rough cats' tongues are, and that isn't very enjoyable! She also does it every morning at 5 or 6am without needing food or anything. Now, I know it is her way of showing affection and I feel REALLY bad pushing her away....Is there a way to stop this without alieanating her???

Stick some strongly fragranced cream on. Passionfruit body butter from the Body SHop tastes disguting, she wont lick that. I when pregnant thought it smelled so delicious I licked a bit off my finger, I was foaming at the mouth for at least a day and a half.

My cat is always licking my cousin's feet, it's because his feet are sweaty though and they like salty stuff.

Ewww! I'm not sweaty! yuk! lol My flat is arctic at the moment, I'm way too cold to be sweating anyway....

She also licks my ears, for some reason. Still, NOT sweaty! ;O)

I thought maybe she liked the taste of my moisturiser or foundation, but even when i'm not wearing any she still does it....Hope I'm not gonna have to plaster my face in citrus flavoured cream! lol

One of my cats does this. He has always done it. I always call it his snogging session. I know what you mean though about the tongue being rough. It is awful. I put my hand over the spot where he wants to lick me. It is a sign of affection. All you can do is gently dissuade him. Make a fuss of him but do not let him lick your face if you relly cant stand it. You will alienate him if you start using creams that taste awful. Try to think of it as a compliment, and pray that he does not pay you the ultimate compliment of shoving his bottom into your face, that is flattering but NOT NICE! All my cats do this to me!
