dont know anyone who has died, and dont think anyone directly has. But know of a few cases of people committing suicide due to its affects after long term smoking. I also have an idea of how bad this is because I spent a year in a mess after heavily smoking the first year of uni away. Then again it affects different ppl different ways...

My nephew was heavily into dope before he graduated to heroin. He ended up seeing a shrink to treat his paranoia, so I suppose he has been hospitalised.

I understand that drug induced psychosis is a medical condition and that it is a psychological condition I think i read once that there are such things as alcohol induced hallucinations........
