Assumning you are talking about mW and W (watts) then times by 100 and divide by 1000. Which is the same as dividing by 10. Hamish

1m^2 = 100cm x 100 cm thereofre 1mw/cm^2 => 10000mw/m^2 => 10W/m^2 so, 1mw/cm^2 = 10W/m^2 No?

i'm with lisaj. you should multiply by 10 not divide.

Yep I got it wrong, sorry. I should have written it down rather than do it in my head.

Another order of magnitude (1:10) mystery: 1 square metre ~= 10 square feet (mph & m/s do a similar dance)
