Is the poll about organ transplants really a stealth way of finding out how many idiots are on the site?
Because obviously the % that select 'No people should have the right to decide' don't understand what 'opt out' means. (i.e. you still have the right to decide you imbecile!)

And while we're on the subject of pointles polls, why do we have the cr4ppy one on the lower left that is entrirely biased to the Yanks? On a presumably British site? Get rid of it!

There are over 14 million individuals signed up to the organ donor register yet they say there is a drastic shortage of organs for transplant. I wonder how many of those registered are already dead?

Its a dead loss.
i was just going to put a post on about the poll as its quite close and wondered what peoples opinion of the organ donation opt out were
I agree with Avatar..... it is a stupid poll. Sureley if someone is against it, they opt out. SImple.
I think it is a good thing IF it ever gets off the ground.
I am intelligent enough to think hard about this subject and to choose to opt out if I wish. There are lots and lots of people who cannot, for no fault of their own, make this decision without help from others, e.g. people with learning difficulties, or people who intend to opt out and simply forget or never get round to it.

Therefore, I am entirely against any opt out system that might be instigated. If I want my organs donated then I will make arrangements to carry a card.

In fact, I am totally against 'opt out' on any issues.

Gordon Brown was totally against this initially. Why has he now changed his mind?
