Marks and Spencer has launched an investigation after a customer claimed a Muslim shop assistant refused to handle a Bible she was buying.

"It took me a while to realise what was happening and I felt humiliated that someone could censor what I was buying.

Mrs Friday, 69, said: "The young lady was absolutely fine with the other stuff I was buying but when it came to the Bible she refused to touch it and asked me to put it in the shopping bag myself.

Shop sources said the assistant may have been referring to her hands which were dirty and she did not want to touch the book for fear of marking it.

There's so much hypocrisy amongst the Muslims. They should stay in their native land if they cannot cope. It's not like the worker was forced to eat pig! For goodness sake!. The rate the Muslims are going they will soon make it difficult for employers to employ them. They do so many contradictory things .... I don't want to get started.

Muslims are looking for every avenue to take control. A stop must be put to that immediately. Otherwise woe upon us!

Does the book contain any stories from the New Testament ? I'll have a small bet that it doesn't, in which case it is not 'Christian' literature. I remember once in M&S seeing something apparently Christian (it may have been this book), but checked it out - Old Testament - and therefore hardly offensive if at all to Islam. It is the New Testament which islam has such a problem, shame shame long may it continue !!

M&S is a Jewish company, a wicked Western capitalist enterprise - what is a devout muslim doing working for them ? Ha ha, mud on her face.

M&S MUST sack her, and announce that they have done so. If they don't, then they are betraying their ancestry and also deserve to lose a large handful of customers.

Islam - coming to a town near you (if you don't have it already)

13:59 All this talk of Islam being bad etc really grates me.

Out of a billion or so muslims worldwide there are probably a thousand at the very most who may be deemed bad.
Wow-you know a billion or so Muslims ! Incredible.

Either Mrs Friday has been miss-quoted or she is even more confused than she first appeared.

The her version of events in the Telegraph and in the Mail are significantly different. Spot the difference...
Telegraph:
The young lady was absolutely fine with the other stuff I was buying but when it came to the Bible she refused to touch it and asked me to put it in the shopping bag myself.

Mail:
"I went to the till and heard the girl say it was unclean and then she got someone else to serve me."

Unreliable witness - case dismissed!
Wardy - I'm actually laughing out loud at this stage - well done...!

(This Christmas I'll be wrapping a particularly large spoon to send to you for your stirring execises!)
...exercises even
The irony is my dear Whickerman, is this amsterdamme character, whom I have never seen, actually believed I may be a muslim even when he states he has read my previous posts.

He then sees a post of mine, which is still on the openning page and questions my authenticity.

He then questions my Bowiephilia with a blatently obvious username (to Bowiephiles that is) and actually accepts I get Elton John and Bowie mixed up.

Again this is with my last 5 or 6 usernames over the past three years all have Bowie connections. But as he says, he has read all my posts and I AM THE SEMI-EDUCATED ONE!!!!!!!

Anyway Whickerman. I was watching this movie the other day with Ewar WooWoo and the Dracula bloke from Lord of the Rings. Anyway, it was set on a Scottish Island and Ewar was looking for this missing girl. All the time the village was using Ewar to trap him in to becomming a human sacrifice to help the paegan Gods with their crop. They put him in a huge whicker scarecrow type erection and burn him with half a dozen chickens. The missing girl was alive all the time!!

Do you know of this film??? I think you'll like it.
No - never heard of that film, but it sounds intriguing. If you come across it again will you jot down the name for me?

No problem. I did an IMDB search and think it was episode 6 seires 9 of "The Equalizer".

Hope this helps.
