Following on from my clown thread.

Jillius is scared of clowns after watching a horror movie when 18.

I have to wedge the phone box door open when making a call after watching a peculiar horror film when I was 15 about people entering phone boxes and not being able to get out, then being transported to a large warehouse that contained thousands of others also trapped in boxes and being left to die

Two questions:

1. Anyone seen the film I am talking about? If so, what did you think?

2.What are your fears after watching a film?

Werewolves :(((

when young one of our friends used to tape hammer house of horror and stuff for us all to watch. One was about werewolves and it's stayed with me ever since. :(((
The phonebox show you're talking about is called La Cabina. It's about half an hour long, BBC2 used to show it a lot.

I won't sleep tonight - thankfully, since mobiles I don't have the need to enter the phoneboxes anymore!!
Am nearly 42 and still scared of the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang LOL
I once had a really bad dream about going to Japan. It really scares me now, years later! I'm convinced I will NEVER go there if I can avoid it. And it's even worse after watching Lost in Translation. There's just something strange about this country for me.....

It was La Cabina - a truly horrible film. I think it was so disturbing becasue there were no special effects whatsoever and therefore more realistic. These days its just all CGI and you lose something.
max, that has just reminded me about my horrible nightmare ! I have had the odd horrible dream but a few years ago i had the nightmare from hell.........
I dreamt I was kidnapped in China and kept in a cage down some seedy side street that stunk of chinese food. There were dogs in cages that were being thrown into big pots of boiling water and all these scary looking Chinese people laughing menacingly at me.
Luckily, it's not often I see a Chinese person but I would rather chop my head off than go into a Chinese restaurant !
I know what you mean, Toby. I am not left scared after a movie with lots of effects at all, but I was left scared after watching a movie called Dead End. All you have is a family driving along a country road, which is surrounded by forest either side. The road never seems to end or join another road. Each time they stop the car for whatever reason, one of the passengers is killed.

You don't see anything, so everything is left to the viewers imagination as to what is out there - my imagination is more powerful than CGI it would seem. I still think twice about taking back roads on my own to this day LOL
I hate films where someone is trapped somewhere and you can just hear slow heavy footsteps getting closer and closer. You can't see who or what it is but you know it's not nice!
In real life I clowns disturb me greatly but I'm not panicked by them.

Yes, Dead End is another disturbing film - it was on the other night and i could't watch it. I get scared by films that could happen in real life
I remember La Cabina. Saw it when I was quite young and it freaked me out. I stupidly mentioned it to my workmate once and she got it for me on DVD for my birthday. Needless to say I'm too scared to watch it on my own!!!

I find that the films I watched when I was young had more of an effect on me than ones seen when older.
Hi tigger xx

Did you not think that Dead End had a thread of humour through it ?
The woman riding the bike in the wizard of oz :0(
OOh, also the witch!!
Yes, for sure, particularly the wife/mother role when she went nuts. But still my imagination was working overtime LOL
Hi Louisa,

Haven't seen Dead End. Is it good?
Question Author
Don't know if it is particularly good or not, but it just has no special effects and therefore is more frightening.
