Can any one tell me how to get onto the Beta version of answerbank, i only registered yesterday, would that be the reason that I can't.

beta uses the same registration details. Not sure if you could get messages though, maybe they dont allow that function until youre grey

I'm grey and haven't got that function. Maybe it has something to do with being a platinum member. I'll still only tin.

but beta isnt really being advertised as in use at the minute. Mainly because anyone venturing on gets banned pretty much straight away

just change www to beta in the address bar at the top of your screen.

if you go into Beta then into "my profile" go to bottom of page you should see "Yes, I would like to send and receive private messages" check the box and that should work

I read something about it in a post awhile ago before I registered 4gs, I think someone was complaining about it being slow or something,

yep its slow and people get banned easily over there. I can see why everyone would be so desperate to try it out lol

its a Q&A site. Beta has the same posts and questions as here but with avetars and a PM service that occasionally works.

this section is one section out of many that was added as many people were passing the time of day on other threads and not just answering the questions. Oh and the trolls were frequenting other sections and pushing important posts off the page rapidly

That does not make answerbank (either version) a chat program in my eyes.
