if your brother has 15 000 pounds why cant he just give it to yu now and your mum just leaves him the house?
if he dosent have 15 grand, where is he going to get it when she dies unless he sells the house?
bednobs - possibly by mortgaging the house.

diane - your mother really does need a solicitor to draw up this will.

Any will with an 'if' 'but' or proviso is not straightforward.

HI thanks for your reply my brother has the money but i don't think he would give me it now i will tell my mum to get a solicitor Diane
Don't recommend home made wills. I once saw one that contained many spelling mistakes . In it a three piece suit was left to a relative. Whether it really was a jacket, trousers and waistcoat, I don't know but it might well have been a settee and two armchairs!
This is not a straightforward will
and as Eth says, you need advice you do

Before you see the lawyer you also need to decide what happens if your brother wants the house and fails to pay the 15 000, then does it get sold, and do you get fifteen or do you get half ? or does everyone just shrugtheir shoulders and say oh that's ok then.
