stopping email (Not spam)

how can i stop a email arriving a friend of mine has sent me a picture using outlook express and this locked up my inbox for approx 6 hrs I'm not on broad band . Is there any way of stopping a download like this or do you just have to wait.

Install MailWasher (Which is a free anti-spam tool, but will get the job done!).

Mailwasher only downloads a small portion of the e-mail so that you can identify it. You can then check the "Delete" box for that e-mail, run "Process Mail" and it will be removed from your mail server.

You can then decide whether you want to keep MailWasher or uninstall it.

Or another similar suggestion to Rojash is my favourite email preview E-prompter http://www.eprompter.com/. Its also a good way of deleting spam mail before it gets to your inbox.

And tell your friend to resize pictures before sending them. It's pointless sending large file-size pics to someone with broadband if it's just for screen viewing, and plain inconsiderate if the recipient is on dial-up.
