Is online shopping at Christmas taking over?

Online sales over went up by 50% over the festive period compared with last year. Firms with both a high street and online presence profited most from this shift in shopping trends. Can you see yourself buying Christmas presents online rather than heading out to shops every year? Or is this increase a one off?

I think this is increase is a one off and no one will ever shop on the internet at christmas again.

Of course online should replace normal shopping at christmas. Humans acting like a stampeding herd of wilderbeasts with credit cards is really quite scary.

Of course people will continue to shop on the internet. In fact this form of shopping will become ever increasing popular as more and more people become accustomed to using computers.

It is as China Doll points out not every one enjoys the hustle and bustle of modern day shopping, plus prices for goods on the internet are much more favourable.

Food prices have shot up recently,a dozen free-range eggs from Sainsbury's rose from �1.62 to �2.35. I think it is scandalous.

I use a machete for gardening sometimes. Much quicker for clearing things. Perhaps that's all they were doing? What happened anyway? You ok? No one injured?

The prices of eggs these days is truly terrible but in breaking news the price of fags in my local tescos has gone down. How'd that work?

Sales of fags momentarily dip in January when smokers attempt to give up. Give it a couple of weeks when most of the people who gave up for a couple of days are back on them, and the price will adjust back to the normal price.

With all this online shopping you would think the Post Office would be rolling in it. If more people did there shopping this way just think how it would help to solve global warming. In fact to encourage it why don't they impose parking charges at these superstores.

I did the majority of my christmas shopping on the net, i woudl chose that any day to trapsing round the shops, it was stress free i can tell ya. I must admit though i did reserve items then goa nd pick tehm up, but i found most of mine on line, would chose that every year now thank you!
