What I Should Do Now

I was told by my friends that I should ask out this girl which I have known for ages. She is REALLY funny & she thinks I am REALLY funny too (It was apparantly obvious I suited her). I asked her "What would you do if I asked you out?" She said "I dunno - why?" I said "I'm just wondering" I then told her if I did ask her out if it would be a yes or a no - she said it would be a YES. I told her that I was being serious when asking her out (I asked her but unsure if she meant it seriously). I also told my friend (One of them who thought I should ask her out) that she said yes.
My question is if you think that do you think she actually means yes (In a girlfriend/boyfriend way) or she was joking about. Also what should I do now, in your opinion?

I don't think she was joking. It's pretty straightforward what it means to ask someone out, well at least it was in my day.
Just ask her out on a date.

Believe me, if a girl responds 'yes' to being asked 'would you go out with me if I asked you' then she's keen.

I would say to her 'so what night are we going out then?' - if she's serious (which she is) she'll suggest a day. If not (doubtful) you can just laugh it off. Go for it and good luck.

huni- you are unnecessarily confused

all you need now is communication! Just ask her n say 'were we joking or were we serious?' so that you put yourself in it aswell and dont look like such a prat! lol

If she says it wasnt serious, well then you already know she'll say say when it IS serious, so go for it!

If she was serious its just a case of 'so was i' and voila! All done and dusted!

Awwww, Jazzman. Ask her out (as soon as she is better!), I am sure she will say yes. Why not buy her some flowers if she is unwell? Friends can do that for eachother too.
