ipod/itunes query

I had to restore my ipod as it froze completely. When I reconnected it to the pc it would not download any of the music previous purchased through itunes. It did load the music I had transferred from my cds but none of the stuff bought from the store. IThe tracks are in the itunes library with ticks in the boxes but ithey won't go on the ipod. Any suggestions please?

Click Advanced, and at the bottom make sure that your account is authorized to play those files.

When I went to Advanced - it just gave the option to Deauthorize - so I went to where you can authorise another account and did it - it said two of my five authorisations now used (both on the same computer) - but the tracks seemed to download okay when the sync took place. So somehow it has worked - thanks for your help fo3nix

You can't redownload previously purchased tracks / videos unless you buy them again, did you not back them up to dvd?
