setting up a group to send emails to

I am using bt beta for my emails but I want to set up a group in my contacts with about 12 addresses in so I don't have to keep doing them singly. I have asked the "help desk" by email how to do it. They answered but it was of no help so I thought I would ask the question here.Can anyone help.

Open Address Book, File >New Group, write a name for your group, type in the names of members with their e-mail addresses, click Add, after completing all entries click OK.
To send, File >New>Mail Message, click To, double click name of group, then OK.
