Nineties Children's TV with spooky computers...???

Can anyone remember the name/further plot of a children's tv show that was shown in the early-mid nineties where children at a school were given free computers which didn't work until you typed "HELLO?" onto the black screen with the green letters?

Then there was some kind of hypnosis/evil plot thing that followed....

This has been bugging me for so many years!

Ah no... but i did love that too!

I remember this programme being very scary (i was about 11 i think)...
Was it Beowulf?
I don't think that's what it was called actually...but I think the computer was called Beowulf
Found it!!! It was Behemoth, not Beowulf!!! And the series was called Dark Season

Wow! Well done you! That is incredible! Just rushing off to find a dvd of that... wonder if it is as frightening these days!
As you know already, it is definitely DARK SEASON written by Russell T Davies,who is also the writer of Dr Who .
It's a brilliant children's TV drama with an excellent theme score.I loved this show many years ago,and now I have it on dvd.Absolutely brill!!
