manuka honey?
6 Answers
has anyone tried the manuka honey? and what do you think about it? I have just bought 20+ comvita, and a tube of comvita 18+ for a suspected leg ulcer my gran has(she wont go to the doctors!) We have just started dressing it with it, even although the ulcer doesnt seem to have come right out , and she says she feels it better, I am not so sure. What does anyone else think about this Thankyou in advance for any replies

When I was in hospital last year the ward sister was a wound specialist and she told me that she used the honey all the time on ulcers with really good results also my district nurse uses it on her elderly patients with leg ulcers so keep using it and good luck. BTW if you do a Google on manuka honey you'll get a lot of information.
Just to say that there are two different kinds of Manuka honey, one comes in a tube for external use only, thats the one to use on the ulcers, the other one in a jar you can eat and is very good for the digestive system and can be very good in preventing tummy upsets. Thanks for your comments Weal I've got quite used to coping with it and try to think positive.
