There is a really dodgy junction on the school run. Today I stopped to allow pedestrians across the road, it was a place where by waiting thirty seconds I was able to ensure safe passage of a coach of disabled passengers off to their day clubs and some rude cow behind me had the cheek to continually parp her horn, are people just getting more intolerant shortsighted and impatient in your opinion.
Morning sense4all morning RB
She was actually committing a road traffic offence wasn't she RB? You are not allowed to sound the car horn unless it is to warn others of your presence to avoid a hazard, hardly class waiting at a junction a hazard, I never use my car horn unless someone gets in my way and I nearly bump into them!!!!!!!!!!!
To answer your question, a lot of my recent experiences indicate that a lot of people have no awareness of the world around them, so self-absorbed are they. It makes me very sad, and frustrated too, as I do believe what goes around comes around.
Ethel I know the Highway Code is not law as such, but is there nowhere written in The Road Traffic Act, anything about courtesy to other road users and pedestrians?
I do not know.
Personally I would have driven very slow afterwards to annoy her further.
