Is "Petplan" the only Pet insurer that offers cover for illnesses that last the lifetime of your pet? for example if your Dog is diagnosed with Epilepsy or Diabetes they will pay for medication for the rest of the animals life not just the first 12 months.

Now...Heres where you have to be careful, with Life time cover I know that Petplan will cover the animal for illnesses for the rest of its life. Many other companies also say "Life time cover" but this is normally capped at anything from 3000 to 6000 or it will only run for 12 months, I believe this is what Sainsburys offer? (Very misleading!)
as i breed cats i give with the kittens pet plan insurance for 6 weeks and also im with them for one of my dogs.
pet plan have 3 types. if you go for the basic then its like all the other insuances but if you go for the top pack then you are covered for
a- unlimited vets fees for life ie diabetes.
b-if pet dies from illness ie kidney probs then they will pay out too. they are the only ones that will. my dad was with tescos and his sammie died of cancer, the only thing they would pay for was the op and tests to confirm the cancer but they wouldnt pay out after she had to be put down.
but if she had been hit by a car and was put down then they would of paid out.
petplan top pack might seem alot but it works out only a few pound more each month but atleast you would have peace of mind
I use Halifax pet insurance. Its costs around 20 per month for two cats and a dog and it is lifetime. The excess is 50.
