I get quite a few of these, as I'm sure we all do. Usually claiming to be from a bank or building society I'm not even a member of!
The latest one though doesn't ask for my account number, it asks for my drivers licence number, and a photocopy of the photo page on my passport!!!
I've had three of these in as many days.
Has anyone else had them?
Is there anything I can do?
Is there anyone I can report them to?

I just delete them with Mailwasher without even downloading them.
Life's too short - delete it! The email I mean, not your life ;)
I wish you'd made your first sentence clearer, 4candles. I've spent the last couple of hours with a recovery program undeleting my life. I think it's all back now - I hope I didn't miss anything important...
Oh dear, sorry to hear that rojash. Are you saying you didn't have a back-up? Hope there aren't any bytes missing ;)
hi there crisgal, you can report them, if you are a mamber of, say, aol, your service provider usually has a place that you can report them to, on their website. if you use norton anti virus, they can block them too. ive just bought it, and its great. i was getting phoshing mail supposedly from aol saying that they would stop my account if i didnt upgrade my information with in 24 hours. since installing norton, i dont have any problems. you need the 2008 version. hope that helps.
