I went for a meal up in London earlier. Just before I left home I started to get a headache and stomach ache. This has now developed into extreme pain as I have a re-occuring stomach ulcer. I took a Zantac and downed loads of Gaviscon about an hour and a half ago and its got worse. I am nearly in tears.

Does anyone else suffer with stomach ulcers?

Hi IAP and Ice, yep I had a terrible night. It was gone 4am before I was able to sleep.

I have been prescribed Omeprazole as well IAP. I have to take it as soon as I feel it coming on otherwise I'll be in pain all night like last night. Sadly the Zantac and the Gaviscon that I took at 11pm didn't do anything and I suffered.

I've been suffering with this for a few years now. I think its mostly brought on by stress amongts other things. xxx
Awww tigger sweetie , that's horrid for you hun , how painful it must be . Are the doctors able to do anything other than your medicines when it gets bad ? Hope you can have a little catch-up afternoon nap if you can :-)

Hi Bigmamma, there isn't much that can be done. I just have to live with it and take strong ant-acids to neutralise the stomach acids. These relieve a bit of pain so it kind of takes the edge off it. The pain is excruciating though. Leaves you doubled up and near to tears. :-((( xxx

Luckily its not the type where I bring up blood so its not all bad :)
