i planted lawson cypress conifer trees three weeks later they have started to go brown

If they were in pots they've been allowed to dry out either before or after planting. If they are very brown they are unlikely to survive

That looks like a lack of water. I always saturate the hole before putting the plant in, and water the plant in well. Keep them well watered, they should pick up but you'll have lost the brown bits.
