MOS 3 Feb. Adjective formed from the name John
5 Answers
I am probably losing my marbles but this is bugging me.
The clue reads " Adjective formed from the name John, used in reference to one of various persons of that name" The answer is Johannine. Now as far as I am aware Johannine refers to the apostle John. I have never seen it as an answer to that clue. After the fiasco with illegitimate and legitimate Edgar of last week I tend to question this compiler.

That link shows the definition as
Johannine
adjective of or pertaining to the apostle John or to the books in the New Testament attributed to him.
So how come the clue refers to one or various persons of that name when the definintion above states, as I thought, to John the Apostle and books attributed to him?
