During the 1920's beans first appeared on breakfast menu's in the top resteraunts like Tiffany's and held a 36% share in the breakfast market and also 41% of the standard sized breakfast plate. Beans continued to be popular on breakfast plates all round Britain until the 50's when the fried mushroom became all the rage and beans moved down to a 18% of the breakfast market.
Beans for breakfast continue to be popular with them holding a massive 44% of all cooked breakfast plates.
