Wifes Focus. Headlights not working. Engine on, turn switch, sidelights yes, turn to headlights - nothing. Both sides, so unlikely the bulb/s. Any ideas before I go home and see if they're on a different fuse or something equally simple? She's booked it in for tomorrow which is bound to cost... me!

might be worth trying the bulbs. Similar happened to my fellas Vectra a couple of weeks back and he replaced the bulbs and alls fine.
Most Prob the bulbs, passenger side went last wednesday and then the driver's side went on thursday night.

Try replacing the bulbs before you pay a garage to have a look

hope this helps
I'd try the fuse first
