Help finding a book

I have been searching for a while trying to find the name of a book I read years ago in highschool. It is a western, about three out laws who were thought to have taking some horses, the sheriff and some a other men hunted them down, in the end they were hung but right after it was proven that they didn't do it. I know it sounds funny but it really hard to explain a book you read 13 years ago.
