This morning i was pulling into a junction and a lady was coming the other way in her car(its on a bend), we where both on our sides of the road but as she turned the back of her car cut across and damaged my front bumper and light. I was adament that this wasnt my fault and she claimed it wasnt her fault. swapped numbers and reg details. She will need a new back door or the dent knocking out and i will need a new bumper and light.
I dont really want to go through insurance if it is going to go off mine.
Would this just go knock for knock or would someone be to blame?
The road is very small and we where both moving slowly.

I have a new punto and she has an old escort!!!!

Knock for knock, almost definitely.
If you were both on your sides of the road, then how could it happen?

the road is really narrow and her back end has cut across and caught the front of my car and scraped along

Difficult one, but I always thought that the one causing damage to the back of someone else's car was the one in the wrong - whether they were or not?!!
Question Author
it wasnt the back it was the side as when she cut across me her back door scraped my car.

tell me about it!!!!
wish i hadnt got up this morning
Without any witnesses, it's going to be a difficult one to call - if it went through an insurer it would most certainly be 50/50 on the basis that it's one person's word against the other.

See loads of these - nightmares. Unless both parties stop immediately at the point of impact and photo's are taken, there's sadly very little you can do
