If you had a really ropey surname would you change it or would you stick with it as it's your family name.?

Just heard Joanna Trollope is on loose women and it made me think, what a God awful name to be lumbered with.
Can you think of any more famous names you wouldn't want?

Do you like your surname, is it unusal or do you feel it's too common and you'd like something a little more unusual?

dove you don't seriously think i would tell you on here do you,?
With all these morons thinking it's funny to be lumbered with an embarrasing name, I have never used an expression like that, deliberately directed at any A/B ers before, but in my past experience, people stop taking the P1ss long before puberty, so I would have thought most of these people would have gone beyond that stage by now.
And iff that has offended any of them, then I am well satisfied,,,,,,,,pete.
there is a family around here called

"death"

they pronounce it dee ath!!
My boyfriend's surname is the reason I "don't believe in marriage", Jules! :o)

I love my surname, I will never give it up. I;ve never met anyone with the same surname outside of the family apparently there is a network of them in cornwall. If the ex emigrates (fingers crossed), Im definitely changing our sons name to match mine.
I'd like your surname too Goodsy but I think you'd suit 'Walsh' better :)

Logic, thats the reason i asked ya know, just that feeling of being proud of who you are, and of your forefathers, despite your name. Would you REALLY change it if you could? I think generally the answer is no!
I'm 33, never been married, and yet I have been known by 4 surnames in my life!! (And no I'm not on the run or in a witness protection program.)
