Check you have no loose connections (scart) and try a re scan if you have to.

we also experienced this and put it down to a transmitter problem.Must try again and check,but don't regularly watch

Missing sound (or missing video) seems to be quite a common problem with Freeview. It's happened to me a few times but a re-scan has always fixed the problem. (NB: If rescanning offers you the options of either 'adding' channels or 'replacing' them. it's important to choose the 'replace' option).
