Option 1: Buy a 'universal' remote control cheaply from somewhere like Asda. (Problem: It can be a nightmare finding the right code to get a universal remote to work with your equipment).
Option 2: Look through the Panasonic remotes offered on eBay to try to find one which looks like yours. (Problem: Just because a remote looks the same as yours, doesn't necessarily mean that it uses the same code to communicate with the device it was intended for).
Option 3 (best): Buy a new Panasonic remote control, specifically designed for your model number (which will probably be on a plate at the back of the machine) from a firm like eSpares:

PS: I couldn't live without a VCR. Most charity shops now sell VHS videos for 49p or 99p. I'm able to get loads of my favourite TV series (and a few movies) far cheaper than I can on DVD ;-)
