Shortness of Breath in Acid Reflux
2 Answers
Does anyone else have trouble with this and have any tips on how to help it. Am on 30mg lansoprazole daily for the acid reflux but still having very bad shortness of breath. Am asthmatic but not had many problems with it for years and doesn't feel like asthma.
Am also on 16mg betahistine hydrochloride 3 x a day, stemetil when needed and flixonase for meniere's disease, spasmonol for tummy and magnesium supplements and paracetomol & codine to help with pain and diarrhoea - am 29 but have suspected inflammatory bowel disease and related inflammatory arthritis. Am wondering if the drugs may be interfering with each other.
Had a chest XRay , clot test and ECG the other day which were fine.
Off to see the doc later but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas about how I can get my breath back :)

I'll look into the iron thing, have previously had a low iron count but not too low. Have some iron tablets somewhere so will give them a try.
Saw the doc earlier, he reckons my osophegas (sp) is irritated by the stomach acid and I have a bit of a bug so have got to try and be good and take it easy, resist my workaholic tendancies :)
