Halfords sell car pedals that are made out of metal, like the RipSpeed ones. I've wanted some for a while but, I think they'll be slippy as hell when my feet are wet.

Anyone care to share their experience of metal pedals?

They are for use on the same cars that have little blue lights on the bonnet, flashing lights on the dashboard and drainpipes sticking out of the rear - small Renaults, Citroens and Peugeots.
Yes, they will be very amusing with wet feet (even with wet shoes!)
How can you do the immortal "Pedal to the Metal" thing when the pedals themselves are metal?

Sorry, could not think of a sensible answer to this.
Paddy Hopkirk Accessories made an aluminium accelerator designed to facilitate "heel & toeing" into corners, so as to keep the revs up for exiting. It had a wider section at bottom right, useful for people with small feet, but quite dodgy with wet shoes. Gizmos quite honestly.
Any of our 'buses' that do not have the rubber coverings on the brake pedal or accelerator are classed as 'defective'. OK I realise very different vehicles but the principles are the same.
Not safe!

Arrr! I'm not a BoyRacer! I just wanted to style my car a little bit.

Nevermind, I can't be done with slippy pedals
