I have just bought a Garmin Sat-Nav. ( Model 200W )
It comes loaded with hundreds of "Points Of Interest" - shops, restaurants, petrol stations etc. which is great.
The problem is that they do not show up on the sceen as I drive along.
Should they?
Simple answers please ( like Yes or No) as i am not very clever.

i have the same model and have found that if i put in , for example : w1d 6 which is wardour st. press done, show map. then press + + + + +( zooming in ) then the pubs / banks/ etc signs show up. if you touch each symbol it tells you what's there.
it doesn't appear to have the function like a tom-tom to find stuff in an area by saying 'airports' and ticking a box.
if garmin are looking, this is one of a few ideas how to make your product better. ( along with one touch to pull up postcode screen. )
